Day-by-day program

  1. 01

    Day 1 — Arrival in Tashkent

    • Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to hotel. Free time to rest.
    • Breakfast at the hotel.
    • Tour of the new part of the city:
    • Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
    • Monument to Polish soldiers.
    • Independence Square, Amir Timur statue, Courage Monument, World War II memorial, Alisher Navoi Theater Square, Tashkent TV Tower (exterior).
    • Lunch.
    • Tour of the old part of Tashkent:
    • Khazrati Imam complex: Barak-Khan madrasah, Kaffal Shashi mausoleum, Muyi-Mubarak Mosque, Juma Mosque of Khoja Akhrar Vali.
    • Kukeldash madrasah.
    • Free time for shopping at Chorsu Bazaar and souvenir shops.
    • Overnight at the hotel.
  2. 02

    Day 2 — Tashkent – Samarkand

    • Early breakfast at the hotel.
    • Train to Samarkand, meet driver, start of excursion.
    • Samarkand city tour:
    • Gur-Emir mausoleum.
    • Registan Square: Ulugbek, Sher-Dor, and Tillya-Kori madrasahs.
    • Bibi-Khanym Mosque.
    • Lunch.
    • Shah-i-Zinda architectural complex.
    • Overnight at the hotel.
  3. 03

    Day 3 — Samarkand – Tashkent

    • Breakfast at the hotel.
    • Visit to Khudjum carpet factory.
    • Continued sightseeing:
    • Ulugbek Observatory, Afrasiab excavations and museum, Saint Daniel mausoleum.
    • Lunch.
    • Visit to silk paper workshop.
    • Train to Tashkent.
    • Overnight at the hotel.
  4. 04

    Day 4 — Departure

    • Breakfast at the hotel.
    • Check-out and flight to your next destination.

In four days you will gather Uzbekistan's main treasures: from the original Quran of Osman in Tashkent to the turquoise mausoleums of Shah-i-Zinda in Samarkand.

The third day is devoted to crafts and archaeology: carpets, silk paper, excavations of a city more than 2,500 years old. This is living heritage, not museum exhibits behind glass.

A compact route for busy travelers who are not ready to sacrifice depth of impressions.
